I've learnt about proportion and using basic shapes as a guideline for drawing realistically. For example I did circles and some curved lines for the Mohua's body and to shape the head.I've learnt about composition also. (The arrangement of props etc in a drawing / painting. A 'Focal point' is what attracts the eyes first on the paper. We are learning what Michael Mew uses for his unusual paintings.
I had a bit of work to do in tone as well. Because tones is not my most 'favoured' aspect in art it was a bit hard. I saw some great textures by my classmates.

ReplyDeleteThere is something very cool about your compositions that look like another Artist I had not even thought of looking at with year 10 - James Rosenquist. I reckon you should look him up for your own interest as you would like his work.
