Hey Michelle,
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your mood board. Looks like you have been learning about a range of artists? It would be great if you could add a little bit more information around what this is for and why you have made it?
I can see that you have put in links to some form of information but unfortunately I cant access them... I am wondering how you put in this image? Is it a screenshot? Maybe if it is you could instead embed the image through the HTML that way the hyperlinks will take me to where you have linked them?
Kia ora Miss Morgan,
ReplyDeletethank you for viewing my mood board! I have been researching various artists which art styles could potentially be added into my level 2 design board. Researching these artists give me ideas to input into my art for the following year and some of these really interest me which is great! Sorry about that. It was a pdf file and I completely forgot about the links. I have modified the post and now you can follow the links.
Wow that is cool. Thank you so much for fixing up the post and making it accessible for me.
DeleteWhat in particular do you like about these artists?
I think the one that I am most drawn to is the first one you have included. I really like the colours in it and the circle shapes.
I like multiple aspects of each artists style but the one that stands out to me for most of the example arts would be the composition. They look very visually appealing because of where everything is placed. The other thing would be all the colours, especially in the first one (Like you said). Even though this is to be expected from professional artists it is still quite amazing. The ones I am interested in is Alphonse Mucha, because of the anatomy, and Sagmeister and Walsh, because of the detail, colours and composition. :)
DeleteFrom what you have said I would assume that you prefer a more central image, ignoring the first two examples. The composition of the murals shows an almost repeating pattern which also draws your eye across it.
DeleteThe Alphonse Mucha is also interesting because of the way that the women sits inside the frame of the circle.
The blue and orange really stand out. I think it is really cleaver the way they have embedded typography into the illustration.
I can't wait to see where your ideas take you! Look forward to seeing your own work.

DeleteYes, they're beautiful aren't they. Now that I think about i, I think you're right. Colour palette is also very important to me. Thank you! Please keep coming back throughout the year so you can see my progress and see my final portfolio. :)
